Important App Change – Action Needed This Week
We have some important and exciting news regarding our app!
If you have been using our app thus far, you know that there have been some hiccups with its functionality. After much interaction with our developer, we have decided to make a transition to a new developer that will address many, if not all of these issues. The full switch may take a couple of weeks as we await approval from mobile app stores.
What you need to do with the transition:
1 – If you use the notes feature during the sermons to take personal notes, you will want to begin exporting the notes this week. In each week’s sermon, the “share” icon will give you a variety of options by which you can export those notes. The simplest option may be to email them to yourself. The fastest option is to save each note to a cloud-based app, such as Evernote, OneNote, Wunderlist, or Asana. When sharing, the portion you’ve typed in and the pre-loaded pastor’s notes will export.
2 – Await the quickly approaching opportunity to download the new app. We are unaware of how the current developer will handle the transition. Your old app may be accessible for weeks or even months OR it could be unusable as early as this weekend. Our new app, once approved, will be available in your mobile devices App Store shortly. It will still be searchable by “graceohio” or “gracegeorgia” and the icon will look familiar to the current one. If the approval process goes as planned, it will be available mid-July.
So, find a little time this week, grab a cup of coffee, find the notes you want, and eagerly await the new and improved Grace Church app coming your way in just a couple of weeks!
