Habits are powerful things. Once in motion they seem to have a life of their own. Research shows that on average, 40% of what we do everyday is habit. Both beneficial and destructive, everyone deals with habits daily. In the new year, we want to take a hard look at how to harness the power of habits to create a new normal. With God’s direction and God’s help, the spiritual habits we form can make every part of our lives fulfilling and rich.
Ah, Christmas! The lights, the songs, the gifts, the tree … There is something thrilling about it all. Memories of childhood Christmases flood our thoughts. We desire to be near those dearest to us. And we long for peace with others. Undoubtedly, there is something special about the the Christmas season. But, inevitably, the season passes, and things return to normal.
